Frequently asked questions

  • Each session is tailored to you, but most follow a flexible structure. We may start by checking in on how you’ve been feeling or anything that’s come up since our last session. From there, we’ll explore whatever feels most important-whether that’s a current stressor, a recurring pattern, or deeper emotional experience.

I incorporate a mix of conversation, skill-building, and reflection. You can expect a balance of support and gentle guidance, along with practical tools you can use outside of session.

There’s no expectation to share everything at once-therapy is a process, and we’ll go at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

  • Finding the right therapist is an important part of the process. Research shows that the connection you have with your therapist is one of the biggest predictors of meaningful change.

When choosing a therapist, it can be helpful to consider:

    • Whether you feel comfortable, understood, and not judged

    • Their experience with concerns like anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or relationship challenges

    • Whether they offer both insight and practical tools to help you make real-life changes

    • Their approach and if it feels aligned with what you’re looking for

A good fit often means you feel safe enough to be honest, while also supported in growing and challenging patterns that no longer serve you.

It’s okay to take your time and explore your options—therapy is a personal investment. I offer a free 15-minute consultation so you can get a sense of whether working together feels like the right fit for you.

  • I offer a free 15-minute consultation call to help us connect, discuss your needs, and determine if we’re a good fit.

I provide individual sessions tailored to your goals and needs. Session rates and availability can be discussed during the consultation.

A limited number of sliding scale spots are available based on need and availability.

In accordance with the No Surprise Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate outlining the expected cost of services.

  • While I don’t label someone as a “narcissist,” I do help you understand narcissistic traits and patterns (like lack of empathy, control, or emotional invalidation) and how they’ve impacted you.

For many people, having language for these patterns can be incredibly validating. From there, our work focuses on helping you heal, set boundaries, and reconnect with yourself.

  • I do not directly bill insurance. I’ve chosen this intentionally to keep sessions private, flexible, and fully focused on your needs—without insurance limitations, prior authorizations, or session caps.

For clients who wish to use insurance, I provide a superbill that you can submit to your provider for potential reimbursement. I’m happy to walk you through that process during your consultation.

  • Yes—therapy is a confidential space where you can speak openly and honestly. What you share in sessions is protected and will not be disclosed without your written permission.

There are a few legal exceptions to confidentiality, including if there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, suspected abuse or neglect of a child, elder, or vulnerable adult, or if records are required by court order.

If any of these situations arise, I will always do my best to discuss them with you first.

  • Yes! Virtual sessions are available for convenience, flexibility, and a connected therapeutic experience.

  • If you are not able to make it to a session, I kindly ask for a 48 hours’ notice if possible.

Appointments canceled within 24-hours of the session time will be charged to your account for the full session fee.

  • Absolutely. You don’t need to have the “worst” story for your experiences to matter. If something felt confusing, painful, or left you questioning yourself, that’s enough for us to explore together.
